Ready to Learn Photography?
One of the questions I get most often isn’t about booking a session. It’s: “Can you teach me how to do this?”
And honestly? That question lights me up every single time.
Teaching photography has been one of the great loves of my life. I spent nine years in a high school classroom watching students go from confused about their camera settings to creating work that stopped people in their tracks. A few of those students went on to start their own businesses. Some won international recognition. And all of them discovered something I deeply believe: learning to see like a photographer changes the way you experience your whole life.
So yes – I want to teach you. And in 2026, we have more ways than ever to make that happen.
2026 Teen Photography Summer Camp – July 14 & 15
If you have a teenager in your life who has ever picked up a camera (or begged for one), this camp is for them! I’ve taken the most important parts of the HS curriculum I taught over a full semester and condensed it into two fun days right here on our 70-acre Ann Arbor farm.

We’ll cover shooting in manual mode, understanding camera functions, composition, light, and photo editing in Lightroom – plus explore the work of both historical and contemporary photographers. And the best part? Students spend real time outside on the farm, practicing everything they’re learning in one of the most beautiful settings in Michigan.
Details:
- For students ages 14-18
- July 14 & 15, 9am-3pm
- $350 – bring your camera and a lunch; snacks and beverages provided
- Class capped at 15 students (so spots go fast! If class fills we may add a second date!)
- Partial scholarships available – please reach out if needed
This camp isn’t just a fun summer activity. It’s a genuine foundation. I’ve seen what a few focused days of intentional learning can do for a young photographer, and I can’t wait to see it again this summer!
Our Brand New Online Photography Course
Here’s the thing: Not everyone’s schedule allows for in-person learning. So after a lot of requests – and a lot of planning – I’m so excited to share that our Online Photography Course is finally here!
This is a complete, self-paced course built around the same 12 lessons I’ve taught for years. By the time you finish, you’ll be able to think and shoot with the mindset and skill set of a professional photographer. And you can do it entirely from home, on your own schedule.
The course is for anyone who’s ready to grow – whether you’re a parent who wants to actually capture those fleeting moments with your kids, a small business owner who knows better images would change everything for your brand, a high school or homeschool student looking for a real creative education, or simply someone who’s been wanting to learn for years and just never had the right opportunity.
Want more than the self-paced experience? You can add an optional Zoom session with me to review your work and answer your questions one-on-one. Or if you’re local to Ann Arbor, join us for an optional in person session with me at the Farm Studio Location – a perfect opportunity to ask questions, get feedback on your work, and practice at the actual studio.
I built this course because I believe everyone deserves access to this kind of creative education. Photography is a skill, a language, and a gift – and I want to help you find yours.

Whether you’re shopping for a teen’s summer experience or finally ready to invest in your own creative growth, I’d love to be part of your journey. Explore all our learning options here — and as always, I’d love to hear from you if you have any questions!
