In the high winds a nest blew out of our front tree, trapping a baby robin underneath it. The kids found it, and were thrilled to be of service to the little bird, who amazingly, seemed uninjured. They got him a new nest from their nature collection (his was broken into pieces) and fed him cooked egg yolk and softened dog food (thank you google!) He took it all with vigor. As he started chirping, two parents frantically started dive bombing us! We were happy to reunite the family as I put the nest in the highest limb that I could reach with a fear of heights and a ladder.
