The urban homestead we left behind

Great town, greater friends.  This was the real estate post we used to sell our Ferndale home:Amy Kimball Photography Senior Pictures_0326

Home features:

1750 square foot home, 5 bedrooms, and 2 full baths on a double lot.  House was completely gutted and redone in 2007-2008.  New electrical, new pex plumbing, new hot water heater, original wood floors, 2 entirely new bathrooms and fully remodeled kitchen with stainless steel appliances.  Has a beautiful working fireplace, forced air furnace and A/C.

Yard has 16 organic raised garden beds, a chicken coop (chickens are legal in Ferndale!), and a 2 car garage.   Plantings include: 5 dwarf fruit trees, Large thorn-less blackberry patch, large red raspberry patch, 3 Elderberry bushes,  2 grapevines,  perennial herb garden and much more.

Friendliest street you will ever live on.  Lots of families with young kids!  Each spring, there is a neighbor-run Easter Egg hunt that spans four backyards with coffee and doughnuts for all!   The street has summer block parties, and people love to hang out on the front lawns all summer long.  All photos are of the property, and produce grown on the property.
