Ann Arbor Teen Photography Camp

Reserve your spot at our next Ann Arbor summer photography workshop for teens
I taught high school photography classes for nine years and am offering a condensed version of my school year program in a two day summer camp. Topics include shooting in manual mode, learning digital camera functions, composition, light, & photo editing in Lightroom. We will also cover the work of many historical and modern photographers.
Some of my students have gone on to start their own successful photography businesses and win international recognition. Images displayed are the work of my students, used with permission. :)
- For students ages 14-18
- July 14-15, 9am-3pm, $350
- Bring your camera & a lunch. Snacks & beverages will be provided throughout the day
- Class size is capped at 15 students
- Lots of practice time exploring outside on the 70 acre farm.

We have had an overwhelming interest in our photography classes...
...and not enough days in the week to meet with everyone in person! That's why we've created our long awaited Online Photography Course!
By the end of this course, you'll be able to think and act with the mindset and skill base of a professional photographer.
This is a stand-alone course: you can work through all of our learning materials at your own pace at home.
Optional Digital Add-on: Add an online zoom session with Amy to go over your work and answer questions!
Optional Local Add-on: Do you live near Ann Arbor, MI? Meet Amy in a group at the farm, and have a retreat day to ask all your questions and practice!

Amy's Story
I know photography websites (mine included!) can make life appear to be all sunsets and smiles. But in reality, I know that life is beauty and vulnerability bound together --it's the blend of boundless love, tears, profound joy, and hard work. My life holds these contradictions, and I’m certain yours does, too.
Our farm was such a risk for us - purchased in 2013 in a bank auction- 10 buildings that needed a roof, no running water, no furnace! But the land… this land spoke to us, and we were certain it was worth restoring.
We’ve been at it since then (only one roof left!) and to this day most people that wander with me through our flowering fields, along the babbling creek in the woods, and around the misty pond agree that this little piece of Michigan is magical. Our Ann Arbor photography studio is like no other.
When we work together, I know that your life is challenging, rich, and stunningly beautiful. You can relax and be real here - no need to fake a thing. Your life, just as you are right now, is worth capturing.
