I was very excited to see the Martin family win this month’s giveaway. I first photographed Andre & Allie’s wedding, and last year I was able to take Zoe’s newborn pictures. Zoe is now one year old, and we went out together into the woods to capture some truly magical moments. I am so thrilled when I have the opportunity to photograph the milestones of a family’s life. I absolutely love watching kids grow and change and having a relationship with my clients.

I had a busy weekend with fall family shoots, and I’ll be posting a few from the shoots I’ve already started to edit.
I love it when I’ve been working with a family for so long that they feel like friends, and that’s how I feel about Chandra and her husband Z. for sure. We had a great time enjoying the perfect day yesterday. It’s so much fun to hear their little girl talking now, and getting personality of her own. Beautiful family! Candice recently met the Maccani family at Shain Park in downtown Birmingham. Outdoor shoots are so much fun this time of year, and all the green is a beautiful backdrop for family portraits.
We have added a bunch of fun new backdrops in the studio. It’s amazing what the right background can do to change the feel your images. I just love the pics of Quinn on the bed – wouldn’t it be fun to pile up a whole bunch of kids (and mom & dad too!) in their pajamas?
