Pets Welcome!
For many of us, pets aren’t “just animals.” They’re family. They greet us at the door after a long day, curl up beside us during quiet evenings, and somehow become part of nearly every important chapter of our lives. So when it’s time to capture those chapters with professional photographs, why wouldn’t they be included too?
It is my honor to welcome your fur babies to our Ann Arbor photography studio. Our beautiful 70-acre farm is the perfect backdrop for families with pets. Over the years, we’ve had many families include their pets (dogs especially!!) in their family, senior, and even newborn sessions. My goal has always been to tell your story honestly, and for many families, that story includes a wagging tail.
One of the things clients love most about our farm is that it offers plenty of room to relax. Instead of feeling rushed at a crowded public park, your dog has space to explore while we capture natural moments together. Whether they’re proudly sitting beside a graduating senior, gently sniffing a brand-new baby, or joining the whole family for a walk through the fields, pets often bring an extra layer of personality and joy to your photographs. The farm’s peaceful setting, private trails, pond, meadows, and studio create countless beautiful backdrops for every member of the family, including the furry ones.
Some people worry that bringing a dog will make their session stressful, but we find the opposite is often true. Pets have a wonderful way of helping everyone relax. Kids laugh more. Seniors smile naturally. Families interact instead of worrying about posing perfectly. Those genuine moments are exactly what make meaningful photographs.
A few simple preparations can help your session go smoothly. Bringing a leash, favorite treats, a toy, or even a helper can make wrangling a very active puppy easier.
Whether you’re celebrating your high school senior, welcoming a newborn, or updating your annual family portraits, we’d love to include every member of your family. Years from now, those photographs often become even more meaningful as our beloved companions grow older. They remind us not only of what everyone looked like, but of who was there to share life with us.
