Spring orchard in bloom

My neighbors generously allowed us to take some shots in their private orchard of almost 100 fruit trees, all in bloom.  (What makes my neighbors even more amazing is the fact that they pick and donate all the fruit to Forgotten Harvest each fall)  We did the rest of this relaxed senior picture session at various locations around our farm, and in our beautiful wheat fields.  (Let me add that wheat field images are like a one season thing – I’ll have wheat for 2-3 more months and then it is harvested and gone! Book a session in May, June or July and you too can be in the wheat.)

Class of 2016

AmyKimballPhotography_0196Parents often call me in the fall of their student’s senior year, wondering if they can get senior pictures done right away… little did they know most schools require the pics shortly after the start of the senior year!!  Save yourself the rush, and have your class of 2016 senior photographed over the summer.  You’ll have great weather and landscapes to choose from.  Our 70 acre farm studio is ideal for Sr. pics, or we have fun outdoor urban locations as well.

Maeve’s Beautiful Fall Senior Pictures

A few favorites from my Sr. Picture session with Maeve, who is sweet, and mature beyond her years!  I know there are some people who are worried about the future of America’s youth, but let me tell you that the teens I photograph are gems!!  Thank you, Maeve – it was such a pleasure working with you!

Sophia’s Amazing Senior Pics

So happy to have spent an afternoon with Sophia! (and her lovely mom!)  Sophia got comfortable in front of the camera so quickly, and as a result, we got some amazing shots!  She has 4 equally beautiful sisters following in her footsteps, and in the short time I spent with her, I could see what an excellent role model she is.  Best wishes, Sophia, as you graduate and pursue your dreams!

Cider, Doughnut, and Pumpkin Sessions at the Farm

The few brief weeks we enjoy fall in Michigan are filled with memories for anyone who grew up here:  spiced cider, hot doughnuts, pumpkin patches, crisp mornings with warm afternoons, local apples, and brightly colored leaf walks.   Come enjoy the best of fall at the Ann Arbor Farm studio!  We are picking up local cider, doughnuts, and apples from the cider mill for you to enjoy during your session.  Grab a bag of fresh apples and each child can choose a pumpkin to take home.  Enjoy a beautiful fall day with your family, and have the memories artfully captured to enjoy for a lifetime.  Each session includes your digital negatives.   Session availability is limited, and fall color is early this year!   Email aubreii@amykimballphotography.com to book your session, or for more information.

Sunrise Sessions

Emily’s foggy morning senior picture session is just breathtaking.  She is beautiful, and so comfortable in her own skin that the camera doesn’t bother in the least.    If you are hoping for a session with this light, please know that we get this fog almost every morning as summer fades into fall.  Makes me think I should only book two shoots a day: the hour just after sunrise, and the one just before sunset.   I love these images, Emily!  Thanks so much for trusting me to photograph you in this season of life.
