Our neighbors have some trees that need thinning.  It’s not an official tree lot, where are the trees are the same size, perfectly shaped.  It’s just a few private acres of  evergreens; some tiny and some towering. Yesterday was clear, and not bitterly cold – so we ran over and got our Christmas tree.  Good to take a morning off.  Good to run and laugh with my kiddos.  Good to take a few photos of my loves.  

I won’t pull off a Christmas card.  The studio has never been busier, and of course I see the irony.  Like a plumber with a leaky faucet, I will photograph dozens of families for their holiday cards and fail to mail one myself.  But thank you to all my clients, friends, and family that faithfully send us tidings of joy!  We love getting them, and hope that this will pass for holiday greetings and an updated peek at how big our kids are getting.
